| 摘要： | The purpose of this study is to explore the interior gown of American women during the late 19th and the early 20th centuries. Research was done with regard to the various interior gowns worn by American women, including the occasions for wearing these garments, the importance of appropriate dressing in American social etiquette, the relationship between tea gowns and aesthetic movements, the trends and distinctive Far-Eastern influences on Western informal dress, and the impact of those informal gowns on 20th century fashion. |
